“The Mental Health Happy Hour” originates from Dr. Scott Zentner and Dr. Scott Shelby at Family Solution Counseling in Monroe, Louisiana. The radio program airs each Thursday at 5 PM on 540 AM in the Monroe area.
Dr. Zentner reached out to Bruce in August 2022 when one of his patients with poorly controlled depression exhibited marked improvement. When asked about why, the patient said Hope Again: A Lifetime Plan for Conquering Depression helped him tremendously with his depression. The doctors reached to Bruce for a radio interview regarding the book.

In a follow up interview to the introduction of Hope Again: A Lifetime Plan for Conquering Depression, Bruce discussed the challenges of dealing with the “holiday blues” or depression and anxiety over Thanksgivwing and Christmas. The discussion shifted to telling your life stories and the importance of sharing those stories with other people in need. The final portion of the discussion explored families with children or parents with chronic illnesses, in Bruce’s case, his daughter’s struggle with epilepsy and how to deal with that challenge.
